Why when I hit the wall control button does the door only go down a little bit before it automatically reverses, but if I hold the button it goes all the way down?

This can be caused by a number of different things. If, by doing a visual inspection of your door, you do not see anything like a broken spring, cable or hinge...Most commonly it is an issue with the sensitivity setting or something is blocking the safety sensors located on the bottom of your track. Sometimes these can get blocked by debris or knocked off by humans, pets or simple clutter in a garage. If it's not something as simple as the safety beams being misaligned, West Virginia Door LLC recommends having your system looked at by one of our trained professionals.
